Hey guys! Although we all enjoy opening boxes in our advent calenders and decorating the tree, I'm sure you can agree that Christmas can be a stressful period; from deciding on gifts to writing cards, there's always so much to do! If, like me, you seem to never get as much done as you'd like- never fear, just read on!

Also, guess who's doing Blogmas this year?! While I can't promise to have a post up every day due to a hectic lifestyle, I can promise that I'll try my hardest and put my all into Blogmas. Stay tuned for another consecutive 24 posts!

Write To-Do Lists
If there is one thing I can stress to you here, it's to write to-do lists! When you have a to-do list, everything you need to do is all in one place, clear, and oh... the satisfaction you get from ticking everything! You could say this releates more to organisation more than time-management, but think about it... it saves you going to bed at 11pm and then realising you have homework for tomorrow. (Anyone else been there? Because me too...)
Prioritise, prioritise and prioritise!
I suppose this doesn't link directly into time-management either- but for the worse case scenario where you haven't done everything you'd hoped to, at least you got the most important things done and over with!
Choose a song and put your headphones in!
Now, this one really depends on you and how you work but I know I work better when I have a playlist on in the background! While it can be counter-productive for others and make you sing/dance instead of work, upbeat music tends to speeden my pace of work up and make me focus.
Get rid of your distractions
We all do it, trust me... most of us would prefer to have a cheeky Twitter stalk instead of revising or wrapping presents (maybe that's just me!). However, Twitter isn't going to get your things done for you and for me, I always get an app on my iMac that blocks Twitter and other websites so I can't access them when I need to get shit done! Also, I find that giving your phone to someone or putting it in a drawer on the other side of your room works...
Reward yourself
Personally, I find this to be one of the most effective things you can do. By promising myself a treat after working hard, it gives me something to look forward to and makes me push through tasks quicker as, to be frank, I just want the treat!
Don't stress yourself out
For me, stressing myself out over having a large amount of tasks to do only makes things worse- I end up being more sluggish than ever as I try to calm myself down! Try to keep yourself calm and remember to take regular breaks, this could involve: making yourself a cup of tea, watching a YouTube video after 30 minutes of hard work, whatever floats your boat, really!
Stop Multi-Tasking
Think about it, when you multi-task, do you have all your focus on one task? Nope! By not having your full attention on one task, you're likely to slack off the task a bit and not be as productive as you want to- meaning you'll take more time to complete tasks!
Learn to say 'no'
Yes, we all know you'd rather FaceTime your friend than revise for an exam or do other tasks you find boring, but learning to say no can make you an awfully lot more productive- killing less time and leaving more time for you! Don't get me wrong, you need a work-life balance, but leave work and the life separate where possible!
Don't set unrealistic goals
Seems fairly obvious, right? However, we've all done it and can probably feel the frustration when you can't complete everything you wanted to. Don't stress out, you're not a robot! It's okay to not complete everything and remember to make your goals as realistic as possible to avoid frustration and stress!
