Hey guys! Normally, if you'd ask me about my skin type, I'd tell you I have combination skin- but these past few months, my skin has been as dry as the Sahara desert. Okay maybe that was an exaggeration, but nonetheless... if you want know how to keep your dry skin at bay this Winter, read on!

Drink Water Like There's No Tomorrow & Eat Clean
What better way to encourage yourself to drink water than getting aesthetic water?
I can assure that most of the time, I am fairly dehydrated and it's not something I really want to admit. However, from experience, I can guarantee that your skin will glow if you drink more water and can clear up your dry patches for you- but it's hard to drink 2L a day, anyone agree? Also, healthy eating is always a bonus- but I'm sure you already know that!

Try Using An Essential Oil *
I am very grateful to have the opportunity to have received this oil from Eden Semilla, and adore it! To put it simply, with it's blend of Rosehip and Jojoba oils, this product will leave you with glowing skin! I love to use this overnight as it is incredibly hydrating and doesn't feel too greasy overnight- however, oils break down your makeup so I wouldn't recommend using this in the daytime. I've tried this oil out for about a month now, and have definitely noticed my skin looking brighter and smoother in the mornings. You can buy it here on Amazon for £12.95- a bargain considering you only need a few drops per evening!
Don't Be Tempted To Turn The Temperature Up In Your Shower
Believe it or not, hotter showers can dry your skin out even more. Yes, it's cold... but you don't have to shower under freezing cold water and trust me, you'll get used to showering with warm (not hot!) water. Also, aim to keep your showers short, as this can also help!
Don't Skip The Exfoliator
Admittedly, I was one of the people that thought I should never use an exfoliating scrub because it would dry my skin out and be too harsh- little did I know that exfoliating scrubs could work wonders for my combination/dry skin!
Treat Moisturiser Like Your Best Friend
Ideally, you should treat moisturiser like your best friend all year round (along with sun cream!), but this can be difficult at times when you've snuggled into bed and only then realise you forgot to put your moisturiser on- getting out is too much effort! However, by doing this, there have been occasions where I've woken up with horrendous dry patches and overall, dull skin. I can see myself going into a tangent now, so basically... treat your skin and it will treat you too!
