Hey guys! Liquid lipsticks have been really big this year, especially when Kylie Jenner started coming out with her lip kits but I know that I haven't got the budget for them (even more when I find out some people have to pay customs) so I wanted to try out an affordable version before the splurge! I've had this lipstick for ages just never mentioned it on my blog- so, for £3.00, can it rival the high end brands?

Here's a swatch of Kooky, it's the only one I have that is in this formula so though I'd swatch it on its own. It strikes me as very similar to Kourt K in Kylie's Lip Kit. It's a very dark purple shade, a little bit darker than I was expecting if I'm honest.
The first thing I noticed about this liquid lipstick upon opening it was the scent- now I'm terrible at describing scents but I'd say it's a synthetic, berry flavoured candy smell. I find it quite nice but I know that some people might hate it. Scent aside, I really didn't expect it to be so pigmented; I kid you not, one swipe will give you all you need. You definitely need to use a lipliner, as I feel that, with darker shades especially, it's hard to be precise around your lipline. It doesn't dry instantly but in a minute or so, which I like because it gives you time to work with it and to get it looking the best it can. The consistency is quite thin so it feels like you have nothing on your lips. When they're dry, they have a velvety matte finish which I love- it doesn't cling to any dry patches and isn't too drying either! I think the best of all, the £3.00 price tag.
Let me tell you, however, that this stuff will NOT budge when you try to remove it- I could physically barely get the swatch off, and I'm not lying. It's good if you want to go to an event or place where you can't touch up your makeup for a long time, but I don't like that it sticks to your lips so much that you can't even remove it. It also leaves a stain when you try to take it off, I suppose thats okay but not if, like me, you're messy with removing makeup.
Overall, I will probably go out and get some more everyday colours from the range as I love the formula. Have you ever tried these liquid lipsticks- leave me a comment down below!
