Hello everybody! Today I decided to do a slightly different post- although I promise you that a fitness routine is coming up (for those of you who are interested!). So I know that starting off doing makeup and skincare can be a bit of a challenge- either that... or a slight disaster! Now... there's no way on this earth I am a beauty 'guru' because I still have a lot to learn- but here are some little tips and tricks to (hopefully) help you! No... it isn't massive, but this is completely new and if you liked this, I am more than happy to prepare some more cheatsheets for you!

How to do...Easy Smokey Life! So here is a little diagram to help you know what eyeshadows go where to create a smokey eye! I do this look very often- and with a simplified version blending 3 and 4 together! 1 and 2 can also easily be both the same colour- as you're trying to highlight your brow bone and the corner of your eyelid! How to... Highlight and Contour! Now... in no shape or form can I still do this- but I found that this is helping me so much to try and get this right! Highlighting and contouring can really define your cheekbones, and other parts of your face and I know it makes such a difference! Even though I can't do this perfectly- learning how to do bronzer first makes it so much easier as bronzer is so much like contouring! Image courtesy of ultimatebeautyguide.blogspot.co.uk |
How to... Get Kylie Jenner's Lips without causing swelling! The #kyliejennerchallenge has been going round and many teenagers and women are causing swelling and permanent scarring around and to their lips. Now... why would you do that when all you need is a bit of lip liner, lipstick and lipgloss?! This tutorial shows you how you can make your lips look plumper and bigger and guess what... it actually works! In step 1, it seems like there is Vaseline put on, and to make your lips temporarily plumper, use a toothbrush on your lips and brush them- but don't forget to moisturise after! Then in steps 2 and 3, the lips are lined with some lip liner, step 4 includes putting some lipstick on etc... I think you guys will get the flow with this one! And to get a perfect cupid's bow (top of your lips when lining) it helps to do a cross between the two points going into the middle! (if that makes any sense...) Image courtesy of alldaychic.com |
How to... Get Your Eyebrows On Fleek! I think I'm certainly one of those people who spends ages on their eyebrows- and still gets them wonky, one happens to be thicker than the other, one always ends up dark brown when I have blonde hair... #firstworldproblems Anyways... here's a tutorial that uses and eyebrow pencil, and shows you how to make your eyebrows thicker and get that lovely, slightly ombre effect! Firstly, you shape them with a pencil, as seen in images 1 and 2. Then, you use some eyeshadow, brow powder, or whatever... to fill in your brows, making sure the end is left natural, and the other end is the darkest part of the brow. Lastly, you blend it all in and highlight your brow bone with some eyeshadow or concealer and you're done! Image courtesy of candydirect.com | How to... Get Matte Lipstick! D.I.Y Style! Literally is it just me who get's so annoyed when they buy misleading products? A few months ago, I bought a lipstick that was meant to be matte, but was so shiny! Then I saw this and tried it, and it works perfectly! Go on, give it a go and see if it works for you! Image courtesy of thebeautydepartment.com |
Brush 101! I know a lot of people tend to buy brush kits or whatever as they tend to be a bit cheaper, but half of the brushes you bought you didn't know what to do with them?
