When it comes to lipstick, MAC is certainly a brand that has it down- not only do they have one of (if not the) largest shade ranges on the market, their formulas too are pretty darn good! So, it's safe to say I haven't exactly been holding back the pennies when I see a MAC store around and now have a fair few shades that I wanted to share with you today, because I don't know about you... but these are some of my favourite posts to read! Scroll down and behold for lipstick heaven!

So, I tried to order this from lightest to darkest- yet I messed up the first two shades, obviously! Here are the shades from the top, and left to right:
Yash, Matte- This one's a gorgeous warm toned, pale nude that (surprisingly) doesn't wash my face out!
Blankety, Amplified Creme- The newest addition to my collection, described on the website as a soft pink beige
Viva Glam II, Satin- Another pink-toned beige that isn't quite matte, but not quite glossy either. Though it looks similar to Blankety in the bullet, as you can see swatched, it's a fair bit darker! Both lipsticks, I would say, have a cool undertone.
Kinda Sexy, Matte- The perfect summer shade! On my skin, this is a gorgeous peachy-nude that's not too vibrant, but still pops!
Half N' Half, Amplified Creme- The best description I can give for Half N' Half is "imagine Velvet Teddy and Viva Glam II had a lipstick baby"- that's the one!
Velvet Teddy x 2, Matte- I'm sure you'll have seen this shade on every blogger and YouTuber's lips at some point, and no wonder... because it just so happens to be the perfect nude for every skin tone (as far as I've seen) as well as being the creamiest of the mattes I've tried! Thank you Kylie Jenner, because I was so obsessed at one point that I bought a back up- no shame!
Viva Glam I, Matte- For me, this one's my perfect red- vibrant, ever so slightly blue toned, and it matches my favourite nail varnish! However, I've noticed that (without a lipliner) this particular lipstick seems to feather on my lips.
Studded Kiss, Matte- I was clearly feeling more daring when I was picking this shade out, but as with Viva Glam I... this one's a blue toned red that's a tad darker.
Verve, Satin- This is a gorgeous Autumn/Winter shade, a darker nude-plum shade that again, I feel would look gorgeous on any skin tone!
Stone, Matte- The darkest of the bunch, yet it just so happens to be a favourite! Unlike Verve, this shade has cool taupe-grey tones and yes, may wash us paler girls out, but nonetheless looks gorgeous in the Autumn/Winter.
That's my collection! As for the formulas, the amplified creme is by far my favourite, with its hydrating and non-drying feel, though it's longevity is somewhat questionable after a good lunch or cup of coffee! Next up in the run are the mattes, but these can be hit and miss- Stone, for example, feels a lot more drying than Velvet Teddy. However, other than the odd lippie proving to be not-so comfortable on the lips, these ones last an entire day (eating and drinking included!) for me- which is incredible! Finally, we have my Satins- which provide a nice finish, but in my opinion can be a bit of mare to apply nicely: apply, blend with your finger, apply more, rub some off, blend, apply more, blot, it goes on! Nonetheless though, they too wear amazingly throughout the day and have some pretty gorgeous shades. Overall for the formulas, pretty good!
