Hey guys! I don't think a blog post get's more classic than a good old review, am I right? Seventeen has always been a brand to catch my eye in Boots, but never one that I'd experimented with- that is... until I picked up this concealer after hearing about it on YouTube. So... is this is a hidden gem of the drugstore? Time to find out!

The wand is quite long on this product, which I personally quite like! You also get a lot of product for the price of £4.49!
The shade selection isn't very good at all, I have to say, with a mere 3 shades. I went with second darkest shade, Fair, as I bought this to use under the eyes and using a highlighting concealer would lift my under eye bags and accentuate them more. I have to say, it is a tad darker than I'd thought it'd be.
When I first tried out this concealer, I was pretty impressed with the coverage it gave; as you can see the in swatch above, it is quite a high coverage concealer but I found that at times, it didn't quite cover all my redness. Although I didn't mind the fact a bit of my redness was showing, I tried to add more concealer to see if it was buildable and I found that it didn't add more coverage but it did cake up a tad.
It's fair to say that all in all, I really liked the formula of this concealer! I found it to be quite creamy yet it had a very light consistency, and it didn't accentuate any of my dry patches- a must for us dry/combination skin girls! While I can't comment on its 18 hour wear claim (who wears their concealer for that long?!), I can say that the amount of touch ups needed was minimal and that was the same during the brunt of England's little heatwave! I was also happy to find that it wasn't at all a cakey concealer, that is... if you don't try to build it up.

P R O S• Good coverage • Quite creamy • Doesn't stick to or accentuate dry patches • Doesn't accentuate fine lines • Minimal touch ups required throughout the day • Not cakey • Seventeen (well, Boots' own brand cosmetics) don't test on animals themselves but do use ingredients that have been tested on animals | C O N S• Not buildable • Poor shade selection |
Overall, I really did like this concealer and think it's a good pick from the drugstore if you don't want something as heavy and cakey as the Collection Lasting Perfection but something that still has the coverage!
