When it comes to all things beauty, I have a love-hate relationship- heightened by the fact that my seasonal allergies are coming back out to play, swelling and reddening up my eyes. However, I think any blogger here can agree with me that autumnal makeup is the best kind of makeup- what better time to grab out the copper, the gold and the burgundy eyeshadows? To go along with this, though I'm admittedly a bit late to the party, I thought I'd put together a post showcasing my favourite products for the ultimate autumnal glam...

Being somebody with incredibly dry skin, I was ever so sceptical about this foundation- but you have to hand it to Maybelline, as they proved me and many others wrong! As the name suggests, this foundation leaves a matte- though non-drying- finish which never fails to last me the entire day. Its medium coverage provides the perfect base for an autumnal look, covering up my acne scarring but leaving my skin feeling and looking like skin, and what's more... there's an amazing shade range! If there's one product I recommend you try from this post, it's this one- after all, you've not much to lose at only £5.99.

Though I love a matte base, I never want my face to look flat- and that's where my trusty highlighters and contour products come in! It goes without saying that this product was a splurge and a half, but it's a penny worth paying- with it providing a stunning peachy glow which can be kept more natural, or built up to blind. Needless to mention, this is a perfect centre-piece for any girl's makeup table- the packaging is gorgeous!

Those who know me know that I hoard foundations and powders- it would be a shame to let that gorgeous eye look down with a flat base, after all. This is my go-to powder when I want to set my face without ridding of a natural glow- it's one you simply can't go wrong with, one that definitely will not give you the dreaded cake-face!

Being that I love my powders, I have a second option: the NYX HD Finishing Powder. Unlike the Givenchy powder, this powder will well and truly mattify your face for the entire day- which is why I love it so much! Who can be bothered with touch-ups anyway? Having dry skin, though, I have to make sure I have a well moisturised base before this powder as otherwise, my flakes will come through- and not in a good way!

As obscure as it may seem, I've loved to contour/bronze up with my Catrice darkening drops. Though you have to work quickly with your beauty sponge, the drops will never fail to add depth to and warm your face up gorgeously- without making you have an infamous orange stripe on your cheekbones. What's even better, is that these drops were an absolute bargain- at 4,49€!

By the looks of things, Catrice Cosmetics just can't let a girl down! This was another product I was sceptical of, being that the words 'glow' and 'bronze' don't seem to be a dynamic duo, but I was pleasantly surprised. When it comes to autumn, I feel a bronzer is a makeup staple in everyone's collection and this one doesn't fail to deliver- giving a warm toned, natural bronze that isn't orange, and certainly isn't flat!

What would this post be without a mention of the cult favourite Modern Renaissance palette? With an array of neutral and statement warm tones, there are plenty of looks to create with this palette. Needless to mention, the formula is incredible- with the most pigmented matte shadows I have ever seen from a brand, though still providing easy blending and shades to be built up. The shadows are pressed to be very soft too, though this does mean they'll be a bit of fallout here and there- nothing much though, and it's still definitely worth the hype!
