Hey guys, I hope you're all well! Last year, I uploaded my Essence Lipstick Collection and boy was that (and still is) a popular post on my blog; I haven't seen that many people talk about Essence or show their collections and it's a shame considering how they manufacture some incredible, super affordable makeup. After buying more lipsticks, throwing some away due to age and giving others away as I didn't want the shade... my collection has definitely changed a bit! Enough of me rambling, now time to get into the post...

As you can tell by the amount of lipsticks I have- I really do like them! They're only £2.30 each and amazing quality for the price tag! Every lipstick that I have from this range is very pigmented and ends with a creamy and glossy finish- but definitely not so glossy that is comparable to a lipgloss. The lipsticks do last a few hours, but do transfer easily so only really last if you don't eat and drink a lot- despite their name, 'long-lasting lipsticks'. Overall, I'd give these a 8/10 because the lipsticks are amazing other than the fact that they don't last ages.
P R O S• Very affordable • Essence don't test on animals • Packaging is sleek and sturdy, doesn't look very 'cheap' considering its price • Has a moisturizing, non-drying formula • Doesn't accentuate dry areas • Pigmented • Feels comfortable on the lips, can't feel it much when it's on • Has a good shade range (although I think this depends on the counter sizes) | C O N S• Don't last very long • Transfer pretty easily while eating and drinking • Have a fairly unpleasant chemical smell |

It wasn't too long ago that Essence came out with this special collection- the classic 'Long-lasting Lipstick' formula in 8 different, nude shades. The formula is exactly the same so the full review for these lipsticks are also above.

Again, I think these have been fairly recent additions to the Essence lipstick range- coming in slightly cheaper at £2.00 per lipstick. Unlike the super pigmented long-lasting lipsticks, these have been made to create a natural, sheer touch of colour to your lips- something that would be great for those starting out with makeup. I mean I wouldn't really call this a lipstick range, more like tinted lip balms that have a very creamy and slightly glossy finish- but this makes no difference to the product itself.
Here are the pros and cons of the lipsticks...
Here are the pros and cons of the lipsticks...
P R O S• Very affordable • Essence don't test on animals • Feel comfortable on the lips • Moisturizing, non-drying formula • Perfect for a subtle splash of colour • Quite simple, sleek and sturdy packaging • Good shade selection • Taste amazing, although that isn't their purpose! | C O N S• Again, they don't last miraculously long and do transfer like the long-lasting lipsticks • I've found shades 01 and 06 to accentuate dry areas on my lips • Strong chemical scent |
Overall, I'd give these a 7/10- I didn't like them as much as the long-lasting lipsticks because I'd rather have a lot more pigmentation than what these gave.

(swear there wasn't a proper name for this collection)
I'm not sure what it's worth doing a review on this lipstick range- as I'm pretty sure it's discontinued everywhere now. I had a few more from the range, if you saw my last collection post, but threw them away due to age or gave them away because they weren't being used.
The formula is very similar to the long-lasting lipsticks but just slightly sheerer and with a nicer, sweeter scent. Here are the pros and cons of this formula if it's still available where you live or you're intrigued...

P R O S• Very affordable, not sure how much I paid for these again because they are now discontinued • Essence don't test on animals • Pleasant, sweet scent • Creamy, moisturizing and non-drying formula • Doesn't accentuate dry areas • Feels comfortable on the lips | C O N S• Packaging isn't very sturdy and convenient, couldn't just throw in your bag to take away • Again (slight trend with Essence lipstick) this lipstick doesn't last the longest and transfers • It is slightly sheer which some people may not like |
Overall, I'd give this lipstick a 7/10 because its packaging isn't great and convenient to carry but the formula is pretty good.
