Hey guys! Recently, this method of getting flawless foundation has been sweeping Instagram and YouTube and I had to try it! Flawless foundation is something I tend to struggle with so if I have to submerge my face of foundation in water for 30 seconds to get it flawless, so be it, but does it work? Time to find out!

How It Works...
Basically, you apply your foundation, concealer and set that with powder- I used quite a bit of translucent powder but I think anything else would work! Without starting to fill in your eyebrows, do your eye makeup or anything else, you fill up a large bowl (or your bathroom sink, if you're me) with water and submerge your face in it for 30 seconds! I don't know any of the science behind this, but here's the method and now it's time to put it to work!
Let's ignore my wet fringe and eyebrows, oh and the dressing gown! On the other hand, why do I look like I'm wearing eyeshadow?
I have to say, I didn't particularly enjoy the whole experience! Submerging my face into a bathroom sink was not only uncomfortable, but was so time consuming and didn't give me the results I expected. From what I've heard, this method was supposed to make your foundation look flawless but for me... it made me look insanely cakey on problem areas like my nose and also quite dry. I thought I put on too much powder the first time round so I tried it again, but still got the same result!
However, I have to say that it does make your face look flawless when photographed- which really surprised me! Perhaps if you're just going to be photographed, then this method could work the wonders you expect it to!
Overall this method could work for you if you have normal/oily skin but for my combination/dry skin, it didn't do me any favours!
Did this work for me? Not really... but I'd still give it a go as it may work for you!
