Hey guys! I'm quite excited to bring you today's post, after all... who doesn't love a good old dupe post? There's nothing better for me than to find a hidden drugstore gem, or a dupe, because my makeup budget isn't the biggest! So... is it worth trying the Essence Make Me Brow or to just buy the cult favourite? Time to find out!

I have to say, I love the Benefit packaging! It is a bit gimmicky, I have to say, but it is quite cute and would make a nice display piece. On the other hand, the Essence packaging is simple, yet practical; I have no complaints with either brow gels packaging wise!
As you can see, there isn't too much of a difference when it comes to wands! Both are tiny, tapered wands and the only differences that I can spot are that the Make Me Brow wand is slightly longer and the bristles are more spaced out.

I'll start by saying that I'm in love with both brow gels! However, I really don't know if I can see myself going to grab a full size version of Gimme Brow with its £18.50 price tag compared to Essence's £2.50- that's a whole £16 cheaper! Want to know the best bit? Essence's Make Me Brow contains 3.8ml whereas the full size Gimme Brow contains 3ml- so you get even more product in the more affordable option!
I do slightly prefer the Gimme Brow, but both have feel as if they have an incredibly similar consistency and formula. Gimme Brow is definitely richer in pigment and a lot better if you want to fill your brows in with just a gel, however Make Me Brow is better if you want really natural brows or just a gel to set your brows in place. Gimme Brow is slightly ashier in tone and darker, but as I just use it to set my brows, the difference doesn't show. Just like the Gimme Brow, Make Me Brow contains small fibers to help fill your brows in and make them appear thicker- but Make Me Brow does have a lot more fibers. Both gels keep my eyebrows in place all day as well as just adding that little extra something to my already filled in brows! Also, both gels do have a strong chemical scent- which I know some people may not like. Lastly, I found that you can easily touch up both gels and layer without your brows looking awful- perfect for England's current heatwave weather!
I do have one little pet peeve with the Make Me Brow is that it does make your eyebrows feel a bit stiff, whereas you can't feel anything with the Gimme Brow, but that's one of the only differences! Another thing that I wasn't too keen on was either of the companies' shade ranges- which other brands such as Anastasia can have up to 9 shades for the cult favourite Dipbrow Pomade, both Benefit and Essence have only 3 different shades to choose from.
