With Valentine's day only one day away, what better way to celebrate on my blog than with a last-minute tutorial! Though I'll spending my Valentine's Day at the gym (fun fun fun!), there's nothing wrong with bringing the pink-toned smokey eye back- right?! So... want to see the Valentine's Day look I created?

To kick off the eye makeup, I primed my eyes with the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer, and later set it in place with my NYX HD Studio Finishing Powder- you should try this little hack if you haven't already, it works amazingly! Then... to make sure the primer really isn't going anywhere, I use the shade 'Strange' from the Naked 3 palette and go over my eyelid with a small stippling brush.
I always start on my crease before I apply anything to the lid, so I begin by using the shade 'Limit' from the Naked Three palette. For me, I've found that the trick with eyeshadow is to start light and build it up gradually with darker tones; this allows you to get a seamless blend, providing you actually blend the shades! Afterwards, I go in with 'Nooner' in the Outer V but I make sure I don't bring this shadow as high as 'Limit' to carve out the eyelids and contour them, if you like. Finally, whilst I wouldn't usually do this, I added the smallest bit of 'Blackheart' in the outer v to smoke the look out- but you have to do this light-handedly unless you want to look like a panda!
Then, I mixed the copper shade from the GWA Natural Eyeshadow Palette (bloody amazing, by the way- the shadows are incredibly pigmented!) with 'Liar' from the Naked 3 palette and found this made the perfect pair! To finish the eyelid off, I use the 5th shade along in the GWA palette in my inner corner to highlight.
After this, I used my Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner and kept it simple with a straight line- but if you're more talented than I am with an eyeliner pen, feel free to add a wing!
To finish the look off, I add mascara- which happened to be a combination of Maybelline's Lash Sensational and Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Colour Maximum Volume Mascara. You could add lashes, but my lashes are quite long anyway and I'm too lazy for falsies!
For my lash line, I decided to smoke it out by adding 'Blackheart' and again, added mascara.
